Speeding Tickets

Speeding tickets in Florida are extremely common and carry large civil fines, depending on how many miles over a speed limit. Speeding in construction zones or schools zones doubles the fine. If there is an accident involved, the auto insurance companies will have their own policies with regards to the premiums and the policy cancellation. Typically, you have three options to handle a speeding ticket. You can pay the civil fine to the Clerk of Court that’s listed on your citations. You can pay the ticket fine and elect traffic school. The benefit of the traffic school is that auto insurance companies cannot cancel your policy or increase your premium. In addition, no points will be assessed against your driving record. Third option is to fight your ticket and request a court appearance.

If you received a speeding ticket, you have a good chance to fight in court. Contact Stewart Law Firm today for your free consultation.
